I bet most of us have spent countless hours reading and researching as we look in earnest for the next best cell phone plan which suites our needs specifically. And then we become overwhelmed by it all as we’re presented with dozens of promotional deals on the best prepaid cell phone bargains around! Aghhhhh!

And then after you’ve settled with what you think is the best offer at the time, some bright spark approaches you and tells you about a better deal, right?

It happens all the time with almost everything I buy. But it is important to compare cell phone plans carefully as they all seem just too good to be true on the surface, especially these so called ' cheap cell phone plans', but from personal experience I can honestly say that nine times out of ten, we get what we pay for, but there are still a few tips and tricks to help with the decision making.

I've also found that the most beneficial time to shop for the best cell phone plans is during the Christmas season. The specials are wonderful this time of year and you can find a great deal that will save you money for years and years to come. Also, the upgrades during the Christmas season are amazing. I discovered the benefits of adopting a cell phone plan during the holiday season by accident. My wife bought a phone as my Christmas gift four years ago and we are glad that she did. Finally, there are the person-to-person offers that allow callers to contact people within a certain circle. Not everyone has the same plan and in the same vein as scheduling phone calls, I also don’t want to organize my friends, family and associates by their calling plans. The best cell phone plans will allow you more freedom than that.

During the next holiday season, consider shopping for a new offer from your phone company. You may find that the best cell phone plans make the best presents as well. Failing that, keep your eye out for special promotions. There is always something going on with one company or another, but don't forget to jot down who you call (business colleagues, family friends etc), when you call (times or day or days of week), and where you call to (locally, nationally, or overseas). This way, you're likely to make a better all-round decision when choosing your next best cell phone plans.
