Know How & Where to Buy the right Mobile Phone?

Who wants to buy a cell phone when the companies are tripping over themselves to give mobile phones for free? But of course, all is not quite how it seems as no one gives away anything for free unless there's a catch right! So, the best mobile phone deals are not necessarily the giveaway deals which include a cheap mobile phone service to boot. The best way to buy a mobile phone is to define your needs from your wants in order to make an informed decision.

Although many of us are by now quite switched on to mobile phone technology, many of us still continue to make ill informed decisions when we go out to buy a new handset.

With all of the different cell phone companies viciously competing with each other for customers, buying a cell phone is downright idiotic. Now if you're looking at a contract as opposes to a pay as you go deal, then perhaps the best thing to do, is to find a plan that offers a mobile phone for free, or at least for very little, and sign up for it. I guarantee that almost any cell phone plan will make this offer, so you are doing yourself a favor by not buying cellphones outside of your plan. There is just no point to it.

Currently, I am signed up with Verizon mobile phone service, and every time that I need to buy a mobile phone, there is always some kind of cheap deal that they offer. Either the phone is free, or at least it is offered with a great discount that makes it cost almost nothing. Even the one time where I had my cell stolen about a month after I got it, there was still an offer available to buy a mobile phone for very little money with a rebate on top of it. How could you even consider buying a cell phone at some store for full price, or something close to it when such deals are available to you?

However, as I said earlier, it depends what you need a mobile phone for and the commitment of a contract is not always the best option for many folks, but it is these contracts that come the free and discounted cell phone deals. Many users like the idea of being in control. No monthly bills, no long-term contracts, and no monthly or annual commitments. If this is you, then you need to buy a mobile phone but there are a few things you should ask yourself in order to make an informed decision in this already saturated and confusing market.

So, before you jump online and look up the top ten mobile phones of the day as advertised by www t mobile UK or similar, it's important to consider what the device does or doesn't do before you grab that credit card and buy a mobile phone on impulse. you should carefully consider what it is that you need in it, and how much you are willing to spend. Many people are under the mistaken impression that the more money they spend to buy a mobile phone, and the more fancy features that are included, the happier that they will be with their purchase. This simply is not the case at all.

If you buy a cell phone with a camera, high resolution, and all of the other bells and whistles, what you are probably doing is paying a fair bit of money for features that you will never use. On top of this, a top of the line cell phone is many times more likely to be stolen than a lower value one. So, before you spend an arm and a leg to buy a mobile phone, think about it. Do you really need a personal organizer, computer, camera, and phone in one?

I bought the popular Nokia 6600 about 2 years ago. I was sold on the idea that it had internet access, Bluetooth, infra red, WAP, WOP, and Whoopee doo included, but to be honest, all I ever use if for is to talk and send text messages. I could have saved a fortune, which is my point. When it comes to bells and whistles, I have to ask myself some simple questions. Do I need them? Do I want them? Or will I ever use them? My next purchase will be much easier, as once I've decided on the price range I'll just be left with the cosmetic designs to ponder over. Hmm! I wonder if there's a market for this old used mobile of mine?
